This elegy is very impressive to me. Sometimes even we often do hedonism, we only care about worldly goods, luxury, wealth, and power even momentary satisfaction. But on the other hand we ignore the place of worship, where we can interact with the God who created us. That's the negative side of the man who is hard to avoid. Thank you for elegy that hit for me is in the process of becoming a better person.

Elegi Menggapai Dasar Gunung Es

Dengan membaca elegi ini maka dapat saya rasakan kembali bahwa dalam hidup ini selalu berkaitan dengan filsafat. Hidup seseorang bagaikan gunung es, yang memiliki puncak, lembah, dan sebagainya. Hidup itu perlu didalami. Kita perlu menyelami dan mendalami setiap bagian hidup kita masing-masing hingga akhirnya kita dapat mencapai titik tinggi setinggi-tinggi puncak gunung es yang kita tempuh. Untuk memperoleh suatu kebenaran dalam hidup, maka kita harus mencarinya dengan mengerahkan segala daya dan upaya. Kita harus berupaya untuk menemukan jawaban dari sebuah kebenaran dengan langkah yang tepat, sistematis, dan berpondasi kuat yaitu pada spiritualitas. Dan jawaban yang kita dapatkan adalah kita kembali kepada hati. Karena hati adalah kompas, karena hati nurani yang suci akan selalu jujur mengatakan kebenaran.

Therefore, it's good to use a beautiful voice to praise him either in prayer and every utterance that we are bringing. Say all the sounds that we have to infinity gently into the heart with the name of Allah.

Elegi Permintaan Si Murid Cerdas Kepada Guru Matematika

From this elegy, I know that each student has their own characteristics and talents, so the teacher’s rule is give them a chance to develop their abilities and knowledge. The teachers must be belief that students can develop their talents with their own ways. In modern teaching-learning process, students must be an active learner and they are expected to get scientific inquiry so their logical thinking can be improved. But, the problem is how to prepare the facilities and infrastructures, also methods of teaching so the scientific inquiry can be implemented. Actually, learning process which desired by “excellent student” is teacher’s desire too. But there are some system which not supported it well, so it is only be a expectation. As a candidate of mathematics teacher, we must be able to change the student’s assumption that mathematics is a difficult things. We must be able to prove that mathematics is easy (to understand) and fun.  This can be done by using an appropriate and innovative teaching methods when we teach in a class. I hope that one time I can applied my knowledge from this lecture to be an innovative and creative math teacher.

After reading this elegy, I realized that the teacher is not just someone who gives knowledge and knowledge for learners. But the teacher is creative figure who should be able to develop the potential and creativity of learners to facilitate it. This is a very heavy task, especially there are several factors such as differences in capabilities and limitations of each learner owned facility that sometimes it is a challenge to be a teacher as a creative facilitator.
